How to make the best Spinach and Artichoke dip

I've been making this super fatty yet delicious Spinach and Artichoke dip for years. I started making it back in college during my obsession with Food Network where I used to watch re-runs of Rachel Ray's 30 minute meals lol.. I made it for friends and family and it was an instant hit. Now, its always requested in family gatherings and my friends always ask me to make it for them. It's really easy and super fast to me make. I've done this so many times that I know the recipe by heart and I don't even measure anymore. I just eye ball the ingredients and it always comes out delicious. Also, this recipe was an Alton Brown recipe from his Good Eats show on food Nework. I tried other famous Food Network celeb recipes but Alton's was the best one.

So what you will need are...

  • Mayonnaise light or regular
  • Sour cream
  • Cream cheese
  • grated Parmesan cheese (store bought is perfect)
  • chopped and cooked Spinach (buy them in a can or frozen in a bag then boil it in water for 7 minutes to cook, then drain water and squeeze out all the liquid with a cheese cloth or clean kitchen towel)
  • chopped Artichoke Hearts ( buy them in a can or bottle in a vinegar and oil marinade. Drain liquid and chop to small pieces.)
  • Garlic powder
  • salt
  • pepper
  • nutmeg (because it goes well with Spinach. Cinammom can be substituted)

Then watch the video on how to make it ^_^

Remember, it's best when you let it sit over night in the fridge before you serve it to let all the flavor get happy with each other. Serve with tortilla chips, Doritos, pita chips or toaste bread or bagel ^_^
