The Reopening of WICKED SPOON buffet Las Vegas JULY 2021

My family and I went to Vegas on the 4th of July weekend and it feels so good to see some normalcy. Hotels, casinos, and restaurants are all open. One of them is the Wicked Spoon Buffet inside the Cosmopolitan Hotel. It's in my top 3 favorite international buffet restaurants in Vegas. They've been open for 3 months and we had to check it out.

HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

1. Opens at 8:00-11:00am for breakfast and 11:00-3:00pm lunch.

2. Price increased. We came on a Sunday morning and they charged $58 per person and my 3 yr old was free. That excludes tips. It was worth it.

3. Prepare to wait. We waited for 1.5-hour to get a table which wasn't too bad. But by the time we left at 12:40pm, there was a long line of people that snaked around the hotel. I heard staff said the wait time was 3-4  hours. Yikes!

4. Breakfast includes a cold bar, omelet station, brunch station, breakfast-inspired dishes, an international station, Asian station, grill station, desserts, and a smores bar where the staff makes them for you. See Wicked Spoon's Menu here

5. Endless crab legs are included in breakfast. If that's your thing then make sure you get a  bunch because the line was really long to get them.

6. Superb customer service. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. We witnessed them working efficiently as a team from cleaning tables, picking up plates, and refilling drinks. We tipped generously.

Endless Crab Legs

Duck Taco, Pork Bao, Braised Pork Trotter, and Duck Wing.
Everything was delicious! I went back for more.

Leg of Lamb with horseradish sauce, Roasted Bone Marrow with Short Ribs,
Angry Mac n' Cheese and Shrimp and Grits. All were delicious!

The roasted bone marrow was so creamy and delicious!

Creme Brulee, Coconut Panacotta, Carrot Cake, Key Lime Tart, Oreo Cheesecake, and Chocolate Cone.
I liked all of them but my favorite is the Key Lime Tart.

Around 12:00pm they started bringing out the Mini Chocolate Lava Cakes. I also had to get another Key Lime Tart. So yummy!

The Shrimp Cocktails came out at 12:00pm. These weren't very good, unfortunately. They tasted stale.

For the meat lovers

Their famous Angry Mac n' Cheese.

Best Key Lime Tarts!

Highly recommend Wicked Spoon if you're in Vegas. Just be mindful of the wait time, and wished there was no time limit because I wanted to eat more haha.

Semi-homemade Vegetarian Meals

I've been on a vegetarian kick lately. Not because I wanna be one, but I just want to incorporate meatless meals though out the week. Here a my 2 favorite vegetarian meals I made not too long ago using a box eggplant cutlet from Trader Joes. I simply baked the cutlets according to package directions and dressed them however I want. You can find it in the freezer section.

"Baked Eggplant Cutlet with Heirloom Tomato Salad"

For the tomato salad, I combined halved baby heirloom tomatoes, olive oil, lemon juice, goat cheese, salt and pepper. So easy and so delish!

Chiffonade spinach leaves or cut into thin strips, then tossed in a dijon mustard, olive oil, balsamic vinegar dressing.

Luau Birthday Party

I attended a friend's 30th birthday party not too long ago. I know, another birthday party lol. Most of the occasions I've been going to recently are birthdays. They are so much fun, especially themed parties. My friend had a birthday Luau. Guest dressed in Hawaian inspired clothing, lei and and the decorations were on point. Him and his wife really put a lot of effort into it.

They had all kinds of food. Everything was delicious. His family brought homemade appetizers, while he ordered food from his favorite restaurants.

Sport's Themed Birthday Party!

Our friend's son turned 2 years old and they held a sports themed birthday party for him. He loves baseball, basketball, golf and cars. He's such an active little boy! Their friends and family were present. There was so much love in the air. For the food, they had Pork BBQ Ribs with all kinds of sides.

The Buffet at The Wynn Hotel. Best Buffet in Vegas

Last Pig Out stop is The Buffet at The Wynn hotel. It's also in my top 3 favorite buffet in Vegas. They serve classic and traditional food from all kinds of cuisines with a little bit of a twist.
